18+ Age Restriction

SHOONYAA products are intended exclusively for adults aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. By entering this website and providing your information, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Underage sale is strictly prohibited in accordance with Indian law.

If we become aware that a person under 18 has submitted personal data, we will delete it immediately. Please contact us at care@shoonyaa.life if you believe this has occurred.

Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to process your order and communicate with you.

Information you provide directly:

• Full name and email address (preorder and contact forms)
• Phone number and city (optional, preorder form)
• Payment information — processed securely by PayPal. We never see or store your card details.
• Any messages you send via our contact form

Information collected automatically:

• IP address (logged with form submissions for security and fraud prevention)
• Browser type and device (via standard server logs)
• Session data (used only to maintain your age verification and checkout state during a single visit)
• Pages visited and time on site (analytics, if enabled)

We do NOT collect:

• Card numbers, CVV, or banking details — these go directly to PayPal
• Government ID or Aadhaar information
• Social media account data unless you contact us via Instagram

How we use your data

• Processing your preorder — confirming your order, sending receipts, and notifying you when your order ships
• Communication — responding to your contact form messages and queries
• Fraud prevention — IP logging helps us detect and prevent fraudulent orders
• Product updates — if you've preordered, we may email you about shipping status and new launches (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Legal compliance — maintaining records as required under Indian tax and business law

PayPal Payments

All payments on SHOONYAA are processed by PayPal (PayPal Pte. Ltd.). When you click the PayPal button, you are transferred to PayPal's secure servers. SHOONYAA does not receive or store your card number, bank account details, or PayPal password at any point.

PayPal may collect and process your data in accordance with their own privacy policy, which you can read at paypal.com/in/legalhub/privacy-full.

We receive only: your name, email address, transaction ID, and the amount paid — to fulfil your order and send you a receipt.

Cookies & Sessions

SHOONYAA uses minimal cookies and browser session storage:

• Age verification: We store a session flag to remember that you have confirmed your age during your visit. This clears when you close your browser.
• Checkout session: Your order details (name, product, quantity) are held in a server-side session during the checkout process only. This is deleted after your payment is confirmed.
• No advertising or tracking cookies — we do not use Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts.

How we store your data

Your data is stored securely in a MySQL database hosted on Hostinger servers. Access is restricted to authorised SHOONYAA team members only and is protected by password authentication.

Payment records (excluding card details) are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by Indian tax law (GST records). Contact form submissions are retained for 2 years and then deleted.

We use SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) on all pages of shoonyaa.life to protect data in transit.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate information
• Deletion — request that we delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly
• Portability — request your data in a commonly used machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at care@shoonyaa.life with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days.

Third party services

SHOONYAA uses the following third-party services which may process your data:

• Google Fonts — typography (Cormorant Garamond, Jost). Font requests may log your IP. Privacy Policy ↗
• Instagram (Meta) — if you contact us or tag us @shoonyaa.life, Meta's own privacy policy applies to that interaction.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data breaches

In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, in accordance with applicable data protection law. We will also take immediate steps to contain and investigate the breach.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our business grows or as required by law. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of shoonyaa.life after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
